Imaginary Number Page 002

This is based on somewhat true events. I mean, haven't you ever felt like ‘I’m never going to find anyone!'? It's just a natural part of being human I guess, the search for companionship.
This is part of a short series of strips, really a short story, so my planned big funny will happen a strip or two later. Not to say that this is a gag-a-day strip, far from it. I have plans for this project that aren't as light. It's just that, right now, this strip is going through it's experimental stage.
I'm not truly happy with this the art I did for this page. There are some improvents, but not as many as I like. I'm going to improve lettering to be larger and more uniform, and I'm getting the hang of inking.
As I see it, there are phases to the development of a webcomic:
1.Expermintation
2.Semi-stability
3.Improvement
4.Full stability
Naturally, I'm in the first phase, and will probably be so for some time.

I agree wholeheartedly with Ink- You need some backgrounds!

I'll keep these considerations in mind as I make the next one. Like I said, I'm in the experimentation stage, and am still finding my footing, but I'm improving. Especally considering I'm a high school junior with only a little experience in this. I'm not looking for pity. That's the last thing I want.

The text in this is just about impossible to read. What sort of imaging program do you have? I'd recommend adding in the text digitally; it's really a lot more efficient. The panels also look really empty; I'd recommend moving the characters farther up to fill up more space and to show more of their bodies. Is he sitting at a table? Because I'm assuming he is, what with the chair and all, but I've really got nothing to base that on. Also, some blacks here and there would really help this to pop out; things look very flat when there isn't any variety in tone.
