Thanks all :-) Toshubi - I wasn't actually talking about legal evidence, it was those situations when a politician, or public figure, says something stupid on camera & the public takes offense at it. The smart ones usually say something like, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it to come out like that." The dumb sometimes claim they never said it. (Easily proven false.) Others try & claim their statement was edited or taken out of context (easy to prove or disprove).

Saddly, there are laws now in place to prevent "unauthorized" recordings to be used in a court of law.
