It's funny, he's been named Charlie since I created him in 2008, but I don't think I ever actually called him that in any comic. For that matter I'm not sure I ever had anyone call Jim by his name despite it being in the title.
I am really bad when it comes to naming characters and then, when they do have names I forget to have anyone call them by it. *sigh*

At least you don't end up with a herd of named characters like I do. Sitting up late lettering a strip and suddenly I realize I have no idea what this characters name is. Then I have to archive dive because two readers never forget.
