People's tastes change when you ask for money.

In some surprising good news, the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS) had their annual bulletin editors contest and one of my Mr. & Mrs. Rockhound cartoons won first place for Drawn Feature. :-D

Not sure which exact one won, (I'll have to ask our club president which one she submitted at the next meeting), but it'll be in one of the club newsletters for the last year.

Yep. This cartoon says it all. They love the work just don't want to pay for it. How many times have folks said can you draw or paint this for me? Okay then they want you to work for hours for free.
