Yep, that's Loki's new look. The easy to draw shadowy version is no more. So if you'd planned to cameo the easy version of him, you're out of luck. ;-)

If anyone's wondering what the reference is to, it's the Treasure Haunt storyline. I drew this months ago, but I thought I could fix the writing, before finally giving up and getting it finished.

Kinda, sorta, it's complicated. I think I had the cartoonist joke at the same time as I was writing myself out of the comic & thought it might be a good idea, then changed my mind. *shrug* (And that's the short version.)
