I'm amazed at how many people seem to think Artificial Intelligence is some Intelligence housed in an Artificial construct. (No doubt helped along by sci-fi writers who didn't understand what it really meant, just like humanoid and sentience.) But it's really the Intelligence that is Artificial, i.e. the illusion of intelligence.
