I haven't been updating because I've been occupied. Fist of all, I had to prepare my photography for the student art show. I'm happy with how it turned out. Computers are amazing for photography, makes your photos look 10 times better with a little editing.

Second, I've been writing a script for a couple of my friends. They make youtube videos. Honestly, I like writing scripts much better than cartooning.

It would be really cool to write a script while someone else did the drawing for a webcomic. Whenever I think about doing this, though, I feel like I'm just being lazy. But I really hate drawing, it's not fun. I like it when I can use a whole bunch of digital paints and blend them together to make landscapes, because there are really no rules. But tracing pencil lines for hours…I don't like that.

I dunno. Does it make you lazy to just want to write for a webcomic? Can't really figure that out. I'm a good writer, but not that great of an artist.

One thing that would worry me about counting on an artist is them quitting on me. I develop these great characters, and then halfway through the story, the artist quits, and I have to get a whole new one. The characters look weird to the readers, and the story is ruined.

Anyway, to sum it up, I'm not really into drawing that much. I don't think I'd enjoy it that much even if I was really good at it. I'm going to keep drawing and see if I can figure out some way that it's fun for me. That was my goal, for 10 years, to be a cartoonist. And now I figured out I don't really like it that much.

So, I'll keep drawing and writing scripts. See which I like better.
I'll be doing some more experimenting here with my art, and hopefully I'll enjoy it.

……God, this is one massive, depressing post…
