06-17-10 Too Tired To Move

Hey, all!
I completed this comic to be online by the 15th but decided to stop shooting myself in the foot so instead I scheduled it for the 17th in order to give me more time to get the next strip done.
You'll notice that this strip combines the last strip with the latest! Yes, they're both okay by themselves, but they're FANTASTIC together! Don't you think? This is how I originally meant the last strip to look like, with the bottom panels added, but was forced to publish the first three strips early so as to have an update.
Oh, something important. I inked the last panel almost entirely with a brush pen instead of microns as usual. Yes, I'm loving the brush pen! I've been told the brush is difficult to master but well worth it, and it's true! I'm in love with inking with a brush, so I will be going back and forth between the two from now on (I shouldn't waste the microns, after all).
Speaking of inking comics with the brush, I'm again working on a black and white samurai comic I started developing in 2002, and now with long-time friend and MiloTeam member Justin Phlegar as a co-writer. It won't be a webcomic but there may be a countdown to the book's release online, however, as I reveal concept designs and sneak peeks. I'll keep you all in the know concerning when that's about to happen. So, you know, I'm very excited, but don't expect to see anything for another year or so. I mean it, ha ha ha…

Hey, Jay, the brush I used is a brush PEN from Faber Castell PITT Artist's brush pen ... black ink, not sepia, of course, but I own some of those too. I'm not saying it's the best, just the first I've used since India ink with a real brush in college. You can probably buy it at your local art store. Here's a link to different sets that contain it: http://www.faber-castell.us/35154/Products/Art-Graphic/Artist-Pens/PITT-Artist-Brush-Pens/index_ebene3.aspx

Nice work with the brush... I tried a brush once and just ended up with a mess! Looking forward to seeing your samurai previews
