The Killing of an Angel

Suddenly, I was blinded by a bright flash of light. When it cleared, I saw a beautiful figure glowing with a most pure light, and heard strange chanting in the distance. I was entranced.
However, this was all broken when a large BANG was heard, and a bullet ripped through the figure's wing.
