Notes:
Shikigami (or shikioji): a piece of paper said to be psychically controlled by a person, usually by an onmyoji or miko. The most famous shikigami controller is Abe-no-Seimei(921-1005AD?), an onmyoji from the Heian Period (794-1185AD) , said to control many at a time. (He's a personal favorite character of history of mine.
