NEW SUPERFOGEYS.COM PRE-LAUNCH DAY 2!
(The following is as it appears today on the new site:)
Hey, hey! Welcome to day 2 of the new superfogeys.com pre-launch extravaganza! The site has whole new look and every day this week features new SF material, as well as highlighting one of the new features of this amazing site that Th3rd World (with a bit of input and some artwork from me) put together.
Today I want to talk about comments. This here box you're readin', Brock's Comments, is a new addition and one I plan on taking full advantage of. It's nice to finally be able to communicate with you. Expect the odd comment on life, production of the latest strip, plugs for some of my favorite webcomics, the latest news, previews of next week's strips, etc.
Also, whenever a chapter of SF is completed, I plan to go back into the comments for each strip in that chapter and add an additional Director's-type commentary. In fact, I've already gone back and done so for every strip in the first four chapters. See what I did there? Now you've got a reason to go back and read 'em all again. Enjoy.
I also want to point your attention to the space below my comments. The “Talk Back” is the place where you, the reader, can give feedback on what you've just read. Each strip features its own “Talk Back” and all comments are archived with the strip.
I'll be honest, your feedback is what keeps me going more than anything. Whether good or bad, I'd love to get your thoughts on things. If you hate SF, then say so. I'd love to know what's buggin' ya. If you love it, please say so. That's helpful too. Either way, count on a response from me. I always comment back.
You'll notice that next to “Name” is a link that says “Get an avatar.” Hit that link and follow the instructions and everytime you come back here to comment and enter your email address in the field, your very own avatar will automatically appear right alongside your comment. It's a nifty way to personalize things. Don't worry though, neither I nor anyone else will see your email address. That sucker's private.
Dr. Klein
Today's strip is an important one, as I'm sure you've guessed. Dr. Klein is an important figure in the SuperFogeys saga and I hope you enjoy this little bit of breaking down the current storyline. The funny will resume shortly.
Tomorrow
Don't forget to come back again tomorrow for the next page in the “Cellmates” preview. Click back one strip to see the first page if you missed it!
About My Access to Drunk Duck
My workplace firewall has decided to block my access to Drunk Duck. Commenting back to you guys was once a staple of my day, but now such comments have to be reserved for later in the day when I can be home. Please don't take my silence throuhout the daylight hours as rudeness. That's not my intention.
Really, with this new site up and running, www.superfogeys.com is the best place to catch up on all things SF. Over there I can still visit freely and I'll never have the issues there that I do here on the Duck. Would love to see everyone over there.
However, I know DD is still the go-to place for a lot of you and none of this is to say that I'm abandoning my post here. Quite the contrary.

bum bum bumm! A secretive one, isn't he?
Brock at 8:18PM, Sept. 16, 2008
Stone Hydra - Yeah, he's not holding back now, is he? NYJ - Hey, you'd be confident too if you were getting away with as much stuff as Dr. Klein is! Fenn - I don't think you're wrong there. With Spy Gal on the case, it's only a matter of time... Chip - I had a feeling this page in particular would tickle you. I responded to your comment in full on the new site, so head on over there for that. amanda - Yeah, that's kind of my little cheesy touch to the whole thing. Thanks for noticing! Smik - I LOVE that take on this page. crazyduck - Hey! Somebody noticed! First time I've tried something like this. I kind of like it and it seemed to fit. EEN - I think in Gene's case he's such a buffoon and so obvious that Spy Gal doesn't worry about him too much. Nurse Carter (or "Extra") we don't see too much of, so who knows? Spy Gal's had the most interaction with Dr. Klein and he holds the key to her medical history. For someone who is in Valhalla wrongly, that's pretty key. Thasanimos - Great! Thanks for checking it out, man! Hope to see you over there. Androoo - I know, right? Man, how do you even remember that? We've come a long way since then. Poki rat - No kidding. I think his admission took her a bit by surprise. Miss Annoying - Twice the SuperFogeys for the same price! Jabali - Yeah, how can he just come out and say it like that? ToonmanAZ - Sure looks that way. Dawn - Veeeeeery interesting. Why would he do that? Unless...
dgriff13 at 6:24PM, Sept. 16, 2008
so he admits it to spygal! Interesting....
ToonmanAZ at 1:49PM, Sept. 16, 2008
Eeeeeeevil!
Jabali at 1:25PM, Sept. 16, 2008
Oh no he didn't! That last panel sounded like a confession. He's going down!
Miss Annoying at 12:47PM, Sept. 16, 2008
mmmmm.... big...
Poki_rat at 10:02AM, Sept. 16, 2008
She should have recorded the conversation.
Androoo at 9:59AM, Sept. 16, 2008
Ooh . . . and to think, she thought he was dreamy . . .
Thasanimos at 9:22AM, Sept. 16, 2008
New site looks awesome, Brock! I've faved it, and added the SuperFogey's RSS feed to my long list of updating comics. Oh, and great page!

Bummer about your work place! I guess though you can't blame them give the fact that DD does have mature content. I know I always worry DD is going to be blocked at my work place for similar reasons. I wonder why Klein is under so much suspicious but people seem oblivious to Nurse Extra and Jean whom by virtue of being his employees are by default suspects too. The good doctor seems to be really tipping his hand here.
crazyduck at 9:01AM, Sept. 16, 2008
OoooOOoooh. Black borders.
smkinoshita at 6:46AM, Sept. 16, 2008
I'm not so sure Klein wanted Jerry to die, I suspected he planned on Dr. Rocket turning around. That could also explain why he'd show his hand -- if she's wrong, it would work to his advantage to encourage her belief.
amanda at 5:36AM, Sept. 16, 2008
Great layout here! Heh, even his *mustache* goes evil in that last panel. ^.^
cs3ink at 5:18AM, Sept. 16, 2008
I love how brazen he is in front of SG. Very ballsy. I wonder why he'd show his hand to her like that, though? Ego? Mistake? He knows his revelation to her won't matter because he has something planned that will label it mute? Also, I find it interesting that he refers to himself as "Dr. Klein". I know that's his name, but he's underlining the depth of his true villiany that way. Sorta unmasking himself. Though I have to admit that SG's evidence seems sorta flimsy. I'd imagine Klein leaves all the time. Does she know something she's not telling? Great page. I mean, especially great.
Fenn at 2:00AM, Sept. 16, 2008
Well he's always gotten away with it before, so I guess it is understandable that he'd think he always will. I think he's seriously underestimating Spy Gal though.
n_y_japlander at 12:35AM, Sept. 16, 2008
(OO) wow... cocky much?!?!?!?
Stone Hydra at 12:12AM, Sept. 16, 2008
nice sinister look in the last panal.
