My, my, my. What a start! I really am enjoying the style of the art here, very moody and well done. It holds up the story very nicely. Excellent work, gentlemen.

"As I pondered, week and weary..." I laughed at that after I read the strip. This is amazing by the way - I really enjoy the style, and the facial expressions are great. Definately faving this.

Hey, beastmaster! No. He's not a literal lump of feces. It's a bit hard to explain exactly what he is without giving too much away. The inspiration for his name comes from James Russell Lowell's "A Fable For Critics." In this satirical poem, Lowell said of Poe that he was "Three-fifths of him genius and two-fifths sheer fudge." Hope you'll stick around and see what happens--and thanks for the comment. Dwight L. MacPherson

let me see if I'm getting this straight. He's called Edgar Allan Poo because he's literally a piece of crap? (the little guy, not the comic, by the way)

Not bad. It's a fun, energetic art style. I imagine this will be surealy gothic in a dark "Alice through the looking glass" sort of way?
edgarallanpoo at 3:22PM, Jan. 14, 2007
HAHA! No. ^_^ Glad you dig it, bro! Dwight L. MacPherson
wecrosscreek at 3:07PM, Jan. 14, 2007
Hey Dwight! Looks great man! Does this have anything to do with the "floater" in "Jim the reaper"? Hahahaha!!!

Thank you, Tantz and Disgruntledrm! I appreciate you both taking the time to read and comment. ^_^ I can't wait to read your reaction as the story unfolds! As more becomes known, you will begin to understand what _truly_ happened on this page. And hopefully, that revelation will make it all the more amazing. Thanks again! Dwight L. MacPherson
