fladam: To quote you, "her toothbrush could be a broom, her bed a collection of mattresses." I wish I had thought of that!!! Of course, that's why I can't wait to get your pages posted. She was actually intended to be normal size here. Unfortunately, there's a kind of continuity error. Although it's implied she would shrink in the text, last time we saw her she was still giant.
Rudolf: Hey! Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate your taking time to take a look at the Surrealist.
I like the way you have laid this page out. A splash page with inserted panels. It's certainly a great way to fill a page and helps to immerse the reader.
I love what you have done here. It works on many levels.
My only real gripe is that I would have made the cell smaller, and had Big Broad stooped over more. This would emphasize her size in relation to the space. It's conceivable that such a cell may have been purpose built for such a super villain, but I believe there would be more impact if you showed Big Broads discomfort. Here, Big Broad seems normal sized in a massive cell. Even if you made the tv and mirror regular sized, and made the toilet into a box seat with a hole, surrounded by scaffolding to imply makeshift, then maybe that would imply her giant size. Her toothbrush could be a broom, her bed a collection of mattresses.
Still a nicely laid out page.
