They Made Me Do It

Must thank GenDroid again - without him, posting these would be an impossibility. Well, unless I found an alternative. Okay, I have a nice, long explanation for this one, so sit down, light up a cigarette and start reading. Or, not.

This is one of the comics in which I actually confront a real issue in today's society, the issue in this comic being video game-related violence. This was intended to display the absurdity behind the claims of video game-related violence, as it is unlikely that a child who plays a game such as Jade Empire will end up assaulting someone with a sword (mainly due to the lack of swords in a lot of Western stores). I mean, sure, someone may be inspired to shoot someone after playing a Grand Theft Auto game (the absurdity of the controversy behind the Grand Theft Auto games was confronted in the old “Adventures of Pad-Gir” comics, a.k.a. the “unposted trilogy” mentioned a few posts back), but where did the gun come from? It certainly was not packaged with the game. So stop blaming the game's damn producers, you morons. This has been said before, but the right people to blame are the parents who raise these people in a life that includes firearms, the parents who abuse their children, and the parents who encourage acts of violence on their childrens' part. And that's not all of it, either. But I think I got the point across quite well.
