I took a look at a few pages. I agree with you about the wonky panel borders. Comic art should be about the storytelling, first and foremost. The oddball panel borders may be seen as a representation of the dreamstate, but more often than not I think they just serve as a distraction.

I believe rokulily to be terrible too! But... not in those ways... I haven't read this Roku comic.
