Essentially, all the Cheddar Biscuits recipes we could find called for Bisquick. Since we didn't have enough bisquick to finish the recipe, we decided to just substitute it with a recipe I found for biscuits… but apparently those are made differently, 'cause the whole thing just cooked up wrong and tasted mostly like flower.

ahhh... I don't care for bisquick, tastes chalky to me, and I'll tell ya, chalk tastes really bad... but then again, if anyone looked at my taste palette, they'd prolly run off screaming in terror

accursed bisquick mucking about all of our resipieeeees! *shakes fist in the sky* my mom actually makes excellent biscuts from scratch....never knew it was more complicated than just throwing the ingredients together and baking....but yeah, chedder, dunno there o.o

Well, we've had them before. It's just that most of the recipes for "cheddar biscuits" online either ask for bisquick, or they're very complex.
