After Andy Griffith had out-lived his shelf-life, he did a show where he played an octogenarian attorney named "Matlock" who, apparently, only took cases from close friends and relatives who lived in places only he has ever heard of. Or that's what I can remeber about it at least. He was THE sex symbol for the over 60 crowd; i'm guessing that's why he was still on TV.
