p17 - Life in Cobalt Storms 4

Wet wool is both smelly and nasty. One more page then a scene change and new colour scheme… what do you think of pale yellow?
Thanks again for all the comments and nice words you've been leaving on this so far. Forgive me if this new page comes a bit earlier than your Thursday – I live in GMT+12 time and sometimes update at 6am before going to work.

Is he going to carry the sheep back, or ditch it to just rescue the lamb?

Whoa! Thanks, RedNoseDog! Perhaps not quite godlike, but I do try have to try and make the lines on Timeloss interesting somehow. ;) Hmmm I have a few ideas where I'm going with the pale yellow... it may even end up being a pale pink or blue or orange and achieve the same effect. Thanks again!

Your coloring is godlike. Seriously. The changing color scheme is awesome. I wonder what mood you're going to set up with pale yellow.

Hey Amanda. If people take the time to comment then I like to respond to as many as I can. Thank you. I'm not sure exactly why sheep tend to be born in nasty weather. It isn't always the case, but if a storm comes up around the time they're due a lot of them will drop their lambs then. Personally I wonder if its due to the stress of the weather on the ewes. :)

I came back to check your comment-backs (I do so love that you take the time to respond), and your response to Emily caught my eye. Is there any particular reason why sheep tend to be born in nasty weather?

Sei: Really, not just sheep? Heh - true, that. Thank you, glad you're ok with an early page. :) Amanda: Great! I hope it works for the next scene then. Not many sheep around you? There's a lot of cows and sheep out my way. Wet sheep are smelly... but they can smell when they're dry, too. Lilac: True, I think Sei is right -- most animals smell when wet. People too! I hope I end up using pale yellow now. Jonko: When I zoom right in I can see the lamb's eyes are bigger than I'd like.. but I'm glad it turned out cute. Thank you! DAJB: Thanks for the rating! Emily Elizabeth: Whoa, thanks! I was really going for that dark, intense kind of look. Sadly/happily I drew on a bit of personal experience for this scene with the sheep. They are often born in nasty weather.

Any wet animal seems to be a bit smelly :3. Having it a bit earlier sounds even better!

I'm a fan of pale yellow, I must say. And I've never smelled wet wool. Not many sheep in my area.

Awh, poor sheepy... Wet fur is pretty nasty too. D: Pale yellow? I think you could pull it off. :D

Ewww wet wool. That little lamb in the corner of the third to last panel is so cute!!! I want to cuddle with him!!!

Aw, poor lamb! This page is so dark and intense, the weather really helps create a dark vibe!
