The guy with the glasses (not the nostalgia critic, the one in the comic) is a real misery guts! He needs to lighten up! Saving a sheep is quite an achievement.
(sorry it took so long for me to reply)
Thanks for the encouragement, Lilac. :] You've definitely given me a bit more oomph.
Despite me hating it when I've made mistakes I do like it when people point things out. Often I'm simply not aware of things so its a chance to improve. But being told I may be doing some things right, too, does make the blow a bit softer. ;) Thanks again.
Eh, Rah, I wouldn't worry about your story telling skills. I mean, this is like your first major comic project, right? So I'm sure you will make mistakes. Heck, I'm at 30-something pages with Ruby and I still haven't revealed the major plot. But seriously, the story is easy to follow and the only questions I have are about the characters and what is going on in regards to their relationships with each other as well as the general plot. I assume that this is going to be answered as the story progresses, so it's not a problem and it doesn't keep me from wanting to read further. So relax and just keep doing what you do, and be sure to know that your readers will be quick to point out if anything is amiss. :3
Mlai: That's all right, and fair enough. I'm a stronger artist than I am an writer. I'm still learning, trying to determine the best time to reveal different details.
Do you have any specifics you're wondering about? I'm actually glad to get some honest feedback so thanks for voicing your opinion.
That said, I hope to draw things together in 4 pages pages. Timeloss is very slow and would probably work better if I could update twice a week. Its something I'd like to work toward, but not possible at this point.
If anyone else has any crits/feedback I'd appreciate them too. As I said, I'm still learning. I appreciate all the help I can get. :]
Am I the only one here who has absolutely no idea what is going on after reading every single word on... 19 pages??!
I like the colors and the way you draw trees, but... what the heck is going on???!!!!!??!!?!?!
Thanks for the rating, Peipei. :]
Lilac: Ha, when I posted it I noticed the date suddenly change so it must've been near midnight on the DD servers. Perhaps that's why you missed it. :]
At least with this scene's colour scheme you can see most of the details (of which there aren't a lot but hey, you can see 'em).
I like grumpy old cats too. No problem for the comments; I enjoy reading your story so its natural to say so. :]
No need to apologize for missing updates...cuz it would appear I missed this one. DX AGH!! *stabs update thingy* Anyway, after all the dark rain this page was a plesant surprise. XD Grumpy old men are never any fun. Unless if they're cats. Then they're adorable and fun to mess with!! ^^
Thankyou for your kind comments on Ruby, btw. They really make my day. :D

I wonder if it's the mustache that gives them that look? I based the character on a few people I know too - maybe there's a connection?

That guy looks like such a classic Kiwi Dad... in fact he's a dead ringer for a guy I know back down in Dunedin, classic!

Thanks for the rating, Amanda. So true, although so far I've never found ANYONE attractive while pouting..
