For the very interested: Since this comic is kind of long and stuff ill do a summary why this makes sense even though the next page kind of sums it up, there has been dropped small hints through out the story.
Arc summary: Adam got torn away from home (and Zen) at 16 for an unknown reason, later Olivia reveal his dad got put in jail (another unknown reason) and that's why he had to leave so sudden, this page indicates the fact Adam is aware of the crime he did already at this point of age of what happened to his mother. Later Olivia explains his dad commited suicide and Adam changed after the news reached him, making him drink and fuck up everything. To realize he's turning into him later on and he immediately stops drinking, but the damage is done so Olivia has already left. Summary of the closure to that plotline.
Zens arm got a bit weird in the second to last panel :(((
Ashley Grenstone: Im glad you get something out of it, I had/have a similar experience. It wasnt as bad as this case with murder, not by far, but its relateable to not wanting to become a certain someone who've done you harm. I'm sorry to hear about you having to deal with this, but remember you're always your own person, best friend, guardian and you make your own choices. If you're aware of the fact you got certain things thats comparable then you've basically already won over half of the fight. <3
I like this Arc. It speaks to traumatic experiences and can be a bit of a hard read considering the content, but I'm glad to have experienced it.
It isn't easy to recognize when your becoming the person who neglected and/or abused you, but, seeing the problem is the first step. That's were I am currently, so I'm glad I can relate once again to Adam and other characters. :)
