Yeah but what you didn't know is that Electrode is holding a magnet, which not only adds 10% to the power of electric attacks, but also slightly increases the chance of paralysis caused by said electric attack.
Electrode's shock wave took sneasel's HPs down to 2/3 (thunder would have only taken them down to 1/3, not KO'd sneasel). Shock wave also paralyzed sneasel, halving its speed and making it less likely to attack. This left sneasel wide open for electrode's next attack, which would be thunder, taking off the 2/3 HP sneasel had remaining, winning the battle.
Shock wave can't paralyze. And is that thunder still coming? I didn't hear the command.
Twin's asked me to sort out this mess, so here goes:

If I had been there, however, it would have been a LOT simpler. It woulda been my tyrogue and the murkrow. Murkrow uses follow me, while my tyrogue uses focus punch. STAB'd focus punch plus a 4x weakness to fight plus a attack trained pokemon = COMPLETE PWNage. But that's just me...
