besides, i totally failed to see this..
(Quote Panda) :"i'm going to have a full chapter update because the nature of this chapter doesn't fit with a page at a time update"
He did call you a brown noser...but i dont recall either of us saying we were ungrateful. I for one am very happy to have read this story, and we are patiently waiting for the next page, but after 3 months one tends to get... antsy
especially when she said next page would be within a week..
When anyone generously gives you free stuff, including free comics strips, then it is very natural to be grateful and patient. You might call it brown-nosing, but it is better than being an ungrateful jerk.
though you have a valid point with it shouldn't take this long for a page to come out, but bare in mind that this is a FREE web comic. So the author/artist has all the freedom in when their pages come out. Delaying would only cause lost readers, and then that would be the author/artist's problem. Missed deadlines is one thing but to miss 3+ updates on the same page and making up excuses for it was the entire problem to begin with, which pandafilando has already corrected
also i wouldnt pay attention to busy, busy just likes to brown nose
@Busy: Even if it's not anonymous.. still it technically is...
I may not know what all it takes to run a comic (even if i COULD draw something other than stick figures) and i dont mind missed deadlines.. we all have lives, and so does the artist, But dont you think 3 months to draw one page is a bit much?
I so am happy Pandafilando that you are still committed to this comic, and that there will be future releases! :-)
No worries about the delays and change to chapter (instead of individual page) releases. Whatever works best for you and your schedule. I myself have been guilty of overly underestimating the amount of time a project would take, so I can't get upset with others that miss their deadlines.
Personally I think that drunkduck should have a option for comics to automatically prevented anonymous comments. If you can't stand behind the words you say, then don't say it.
i'm going to have a full chapter update because the nature of this chapter doesn't fit with a page at a time update, and now that i come to realize (thanks to your feedback) it has been wrong for me to give you all a specific date,(and then failing to update) i won't be giving you definitive dates for the updates, it could be in two weeks, or maybe in one month, thanks to everyone that supports me by reading the comic, i won't be as naive to give you all fake anticipation again. as we all know we all have life issues and making aware of mine to all who want to know about the comic and not my personal life has been a mistake by my part, for whether they're true or not it comes just as an excuse, i will make my best not to do that anymore.
and about the muted comments
i will say this just once: if you wan't to say something no matter how rude or true it could be, please do it so by posting with your username, i have noting against constructive or other kinds of critics, if you look at older pages, i've never muted harsh critics, just people who insult me or those who post harsh criticism anonymously.
I'm with busy on this one.
Seriously just read some other comics in the mean time. XKCD, QC, LFG, Para-Ten, The Meek, ect. ect... Then there's a lot of other comics you can read right here at drunk duck. I am completely content in waiting for this. I take ten seconds out of my day to check for an update then go along my way.
Keep up the good work pan :) You don't have to feel committed to say you'll get it done at a certain time. Maybe make a twitter or something and update on how your life is going, that way we know that you're still alright. You're well being and issues come way before this comic.

oh there isn't anything wrong with the artist having problems, we all do. However like mentioned before, promises and deadlines shouldn't be made if they cant be met.
I remember last time he must have made atleast FOUR excuses on multiple days of the year as to why, and every time made another promise to bring it soon only for it to not come. And all these announcements were made weeks after the last day a promise was made.
Personally I don't think there's any life issues at all, why? Because every time a deadline was missed it was ALWAYS due to "SERIOUS PROBLEMS/LIFE ISSUES" if memory serves me right I recall that the artist said that most of the chapter was done and a year later all we got was 2 pages and a title page. I AM IN NO WAY saying that the artist is lying and making excuses to not update because I have no proof for that. But is it wrong to express a bit of doubt?
Honestly I could care less if the artist decides to take their sweet sweet time coming out with pages, the fact that I'm even remotely interested to stick around means that I ACTUALLY like the webcomic. I just don't like being told when an update is going to be made, only to be rickroll'd with another excuse.
In my opinion if you don't make a schedule/deadline for yourself, people have no right to complain since you never really said when it would be up.
It's funny to see all these peoples whining about not-updates whenever the author states explicitly that there are problems barring updates.
It'll come.
lol I find it funny how those people that are the most impatient and most critical are those that post anonymously and are too scared to post with their own user ID. Anonymous postings should be muted!
I'm sure that Pandafilando has her own legitimate real-life issues for any delays, and is fully aware of her posting schedule, so it is not helpful to bug her about it. I just hope that she is okay and does not give up on this wonderful comic!

lol I find it funny how you're muting people for calling you out on not meeting your own deadline.
Well in Pandafilando defence, she did not state which Monday. I'm hoping next Monday. ;^) Pandafilando, since you are likely still dealing with your serious issues, please take as much time as you need to finish the next comic. But please let us know with periodic status updates.
Panda, do what you can when you can. The fact that people (including me, I admit) get disappointed when you take a long time to post is positive, believe it or not - that means you have FANS that are GENUINELY INTERESTED in seeing your work. My advice is to ignore/mute the biggest complainers, do what you can, when you can, and try not to make commitments you aren't 100% sure you can meet. Even long-time, veteran webcomics go through delays. The best way to get rid of that is to build up a buffer of work so that you're working on stuff to be released in a couple weeks down the road. If you need time to do that, the people here (that deserve your attention) will understand.
Best of luck with everything, and keep entertaining us! :)
I agree, there is nothing wrong with taking their time in making it, its done for free so the author is free to take as long as they please. However, I think they shouldn't make deadlines they can't keep
I have no idea why for the past year I kept checking and kept checking. I guess it's because this is an awesome comic... I'm also really curios as to to what the underlying story really is.
I have faith Pandafilando will keep going, how ever long it take her (Not trying to make assumptions, you are a gal yes?). A good comic is worth waiting for when it's made for absolutely no profit.
Neat cover! No worries about the delays. It is greatly appreciated that you let us know. :-) Just deal with those real-life issues first, while we patiently look forward to the next wonderful comic.
