This comic is so interesting! I really like the artwork, the shading in it is amazing and the placement of the word bubbles. Nicely done, looking forward to future pages!
brilliant work! strangely, the second panel is my favorite of the three. It has the most interesting angle and the angle itself acts as a story telling technique. You know when you barely hear something through a wall you might cock your head a bit to get a better listen. That's what I get out of the second panel. a sense of inherent motion.
Great background and environments on this page. Love the first panel. Do you use photo references for, say, the back alley in the first panel? This comic just looks so good. When somebody takes the time, and has the skill, to work up full, detailed backgrounds, I really take notice. To me, they are as important as any of the main characters in a comic. I dare say that without fully rendered and realized backgrounds, then a comic will always be of an amateur level. Throw rotten fruit at me if you will....just don't hit me in the face....ppphhhhttttttt.

Always great art... but you've really made the environment feel authentic. This is really solid.

And open fire in a place that sells a lot of highly flammable liquids (that the buyers have a tendency to spill) spells trouble.

Great way to introduce the setting. I really get a feel for a gritty, 19th century, port city.
