I'm not sure where the following came from. I agree it probably isn't the entirety of DD. We didn't expect to be this popular it's more of a thing that was going on just for us over at The Wotch art forums. Things snow ball. I doubt we'll keep being in the top five spots. It's just one of those things that has alot of momentum at the beginning. If we taper off it's fine, but at the same time if we don't it's a way to get other artist to join in and new ideas to be contributed. Why not join in yourself? It's not like we're doing this to be the most popular, we're doing this for fun.
I think the main question is where did this 'following' come from- I can't imagine the entirety of the Druckduck readership suddenly read this comic. How large are The Wotch forums, anyway?
We got in the top 5 by having a large following of people who want to read the comic and see where things go. Quality of art is not the point it's the feeling of being part of a collective community project that is. Why not join and you can even get some publicity for your own comic. It's all for fun. The more the merrier.
