119: The Open Horizon

Ian Jay on Oct. 24, 2007

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Forget all that “never this late again” crap I said last week. College is owning my ass– I won't go further and give you any sappy excuses. We've got like three weeks of class left before we hit winter break, so I might put up another page between now and then and then crank out pages like mad once I get back to Maryland. Hopefully I'll be able to finish TEO Book Two before winter quarter starts. …That's the plan, anyways.

Until then, keep checking out my Deviant Art page for updates. Turns out a ton of kids have DA pages here; despite its somewhat sketchy reputation, the website has been invaluable in helping me find out just what my new friends enjoy drawing. (Oh yeah, by the by: I lost the fifth round of Endzone. C'est la guerre. BUT this probably won't be the last you see of the Chimbley Sweep– he's too good of a character to throw away.)

Also, go to SCADradio.or on Wednesdays at 2 to 4 pm to listen to me DJ a two-hour college radio show. You can even call in and give requests. Check it out! I've only done three shifts and already I've been exposed to all this crazy awesome music. The world of indie rock is far, far larger than I had ever previously imagined.

Okay, it's late, and I'm tired, so I'm goin' to bed. In conclusion… well, just watch it. You've probably seen it, but it's cool, so give it a look again. Whatever.

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
