Filler: Grik-Nor and The Rain Spirit Page 3

At last, the mysterious Rain Spirit! Actually, it's kind of funny, I've designed several of the spirits so far, and the Rain Spirit is the only one that's humanoid in any way. He's supposed to be black, by the way, or at least a very dark grey, so just imagine that. XD
The be perfectly fair, I kinda stole the design (and some of the personality) from a character from the old Sierra game “Conquests of Camelot.” He's based on an antagonist with a very small part, a little imp named “Widdershins”. All he wants is a piece of copper and he'll let you pass, so I always thought he was kinda fun, for asking so little. I based this design on my memories of the game, since it won't run on this computer, but I found a clip on youtube (the firs thing in the video, it doesn't take long) so you can see, I got it pretty close! :D
As an aside, out of curiosity, I looked up “Widdershins” to see what it was all about. Apparently it was originally a word for something that goes opposite the path of the sun, and eventually became a word for anything that goes against the grain. It definitely fits the game character, and the Rain Spirit here as well. He should probably be dancing about a bit, but I wanted to make sure he'd be easy to fully see in this first page. He'll probably be pretty animated in the rest of the pages of this filler.
…aaaaand, edited to fix a typo. Whoo.
Thanks for reading! See you next week!

woah that spirit reminds me of a nightmare I used to have as a kid. This shadow would live near my curtains and stare at me O.o;

the rain spirit resembles a humanoid just enough to make sense as a speaking figure, but his limbs and his overall form are so bizarre that image informs us clearly that there is nothing human whatsoever about this entity. Very interesting.
