I'm not sure how the comic creation process goes for you all, but for me there's
always this big rush of confidence and energy at the end of a project, whether a script or
comic book issue or whatever. I feel like I can do anything!
But inevitably, right after that, the next project gets off to a clunky, challenging start. Odd!
I'm so happy to be back at the Movie Pit, with the gang back in their regular lives…and I'm looking forward to this issue, too! But…a clunky start.
Once again.
Do any of you find that things work that way?

@PPP - Things seem to get stuck sometimes, I know. Sometimes that "stuck" feeling comes just before a new breakthrough, though! Keep at it, my friend!

Eating salad with his fingers? No wonder TK has dating issues. Take the girl to dinner and he attacks the salad bar with his fingers. With me it's always been starting and then not giving up. My wish to keep going fades really fast.

@Kou - It's an insidiously catchy tune, no denying that! TK's eating some kind of salad...Abigail's salad. Ahhh, yes, Dill Pickle chips! I remember when I first heard of them, and it seemed INSANE! But they're actually pretty good! XD

@El Cid - Yes! That's it, too. A sense of accomplishment feels great and gives juice to start the next thing...but then it comes down to figuring out where to start, and structure and conflict and endings, and dialogue, and drawing the actual pages (that's the toughest part by far, for me). ........................... ....................................... .......The upside is the momentum...and then another story (and another RUSH) waiting on the other side!

@jerrie - It makes sense, I guess. There might be confidence at the beginning, but there's no momentum for the new story/pages yet. That comes later. Glad I'm not the only one! :D

for what it's worth, i actually do like 'What is Love'. thats just what came to mind when i read the title. Anyway what IS that hes eating? Dill Pickle Potato Chips? (before you ask, yes, those are in fact real.....Lays at that........oddly tasty considering i don't like pickles that much)

The beginning's always rough because at that stage, everything's uphill. The reality sets in that you've got a ton of work to do. But then towards the end, it's that sense of accomplishment that gets you all pumped and ready for the next big thing.
