@Peipei - I'm gonna have to talk to you more about this, too! Your mom and sister's experience sounds terrifying. I have an aunt who's seen some things, and even my mom, the ultimate skeptic, had a strange experience once. I hope they're leaving you alone lately (the spirits I mean; not my aunt and mom).

Actually banning on occasion works. Create a safe space using the power you are most comfortable in invoking. Theoretically it could be why hard core skeptics do not witness intense paranormal activity. They have created a "safe zone" through their skepticism. I remember an old D&D defense against illusions; holding up one's arms and intoning "I disbelieve!"

@Banes: Hahaha i'm always super hesitant to even tell my stories because I don't want to people to think i'm crazy xD! I'm a pretty rational thinker when it comes to most life situations, but when it comes to the paranormal, I have no explanation for the ghostly happenings i've had in my life, especially when its more than just myself experiencing this stuff. I'd love to go deeper in to me and my family's paranormal journey in the house I grew up in. The things that were living there were just not friendly at all! My brother and my mom were attacked several times in the middle of the night by what they could only describe as "shadow people". I mean, there was something happening every other week at that place, that's how frequent these occurrences were!

@Peipei - I think I would too, Peipei! I would love to hear that story and any other experience you've had encountering spirits; it's fascinating stuff. My friend encountered something in her room, too; a terrifying anecdote, that. I've had the creepin' willies a few times...bad feelings. And two experiences that were quite bizarre. Maybe I'll share them on the next two pages (there are only two pages left in this li'l ghost story). Originally this was going to be more subtle and realistic, but I decided to take it a few steps beyond. Thanks again; hope you like the ending!

@KimLuster - thanks! It's a little weird to do these "non-status quo" episodes, just because it means it's two months of the series not being the series, if you will. Yeah, this was supposed to force Abby to change somewhat...the "mother" angle is what really comes out, here, rather than a "skeptic to believer" arc I had in mind. I hope he didn't get the girl, either! Stay tuned...:D

I think i'd literally crap my pants if I ever had a paranormal experience like that! Speaking of which, i've had quite a few in my time (if you're willing to believe that!) one of which a spirit actually manifested in my bedroom as a teen. The one I saw was missing the lower half of its body (legs and feet). Let me just say that seeing a spirit is nothing like how they portray it in the paranormal activity movies. It seriously felt like time slowed down when I saw that thing! But anyway, excellent page! Can't wait to see where this ultimately goes :3!

Genuinely well-done!! I think, that your comic so often has such off-the-wall humor, that this creepy story hits all the harder... This mama bear uber-protectiveness from Abby (who's usually so snarky - you're going against status quo all over the place here haha) is so touching. That motherly feel... I hope he didn't somehow get the girl!
