Blood vs. ED pt1

alright folks! the tournament has begun!
i thought about using a sonic background for this fight, since they are both sonic type edits (i know blood is a shadow edit, but it's still a sonic character edit ;)) so should i have done that, or was this arena a good idea?

once again, i do this for fun, so why are you even bothering? if it's my comic i can do what i want with it! if i use suggestions from every other sprite comic author out there, it won't really be mine anymore, but everyone elses ideas of good quality thrown together!

great, this is another sprite-comic-author-who-doesn't-follow-people's-ad vice-and-also-mutes-them. So I'm not even going to waste words on giving advice...

This is outragiously static. It's like watching cardboard box theatre. The speech bubbles need some major work. Rich posted a fantastic tutorial somewhere in the forums. BUt I know Rengori has one he's been handing out. There is a TON of excess space, and the characters are so small that it's impossible to get a feel for their emotions. Also, recolors. Blah.

1. it's hard to do text boxes with just ms paint 2. as i said before, tournament's with limits are boring 3.actiondisplay?
- bit-mixing can't be avoided because not all sprites will be the same bit as the other sprites or the backgrounds - bad recolours or bad edits, i mean hey, i don't make the sprites! - crappy effects are what you get when the best program for adding effects is GIMP...
Let's take that more deeply, shall we? - Whoo explained the first one already - You don't make the sprites, you DO however make the comic. Therefore it is your responsibility to get the comic some quality and therefore you must, at all cost, avoid this. - Crappy effects? And you have GIMP? Don't make me laugh. know what GIMP can do and I also know that this is downhard shameful quality of MS paint, bad one there at it.

''Textboxes''. They quite fail. Sides, your bitmixing. Though you proclaim you know of these and say they are no-no's but cannot be avoided. WRONG! They can. By putting a simple thing called a limit, or a certain game you wish your sprites from. So sorry, it's teh truth. And the actiondisplay is a bit off. The ''space'' between two pannels is too large.

Oh, and the arena looks fine to me, a bit pixelated in some parts but its barely notable...
