The advice is often the same because it is true. And there are ways to make all those neat effects very quickly so that the panels won't take you any more time than they do now. If you'd like, I can teach them to you.
i don't want advice because it's always the same!
Well perhaps there's a reason for that...!
And I'm sorry, but this comic is just for you once you put it up on a public hosting site, let alone one that allows users to crit and rate your work. If you want to have fun making sub-standard material without having to worry about people telling you to add those three things, remove the comment box, or make it in private and E-mail it to your friends.
Till then, my review upholds.
i don't want advice because it's always the same!
"add speed lines"
"make better text boxes"
"add sound effects"
i like my comic the way it is because it doesn't take forever to make one pannel, and that it's fun to make.
plus, i don't like advice because listening, er, reading people whine about the quality takes the fun out of it!
we give advice to try to help you yet you go the other way and refuse to improve: The mark of apathy and mediocrity.
'gratz, you're the first person to be called mediocre by the mediocre one.
Well let me ask you a question, why do you not want advice? Sure you have pride in it and like it the way it is. But If you take thier advice, you could make it even better! Imagine how much more pride youd have in it, wouldnt that be great?
Ok, since the DD comment box is giving me trouble, I'll keep this very simple.
You should add either motion trails or a fading movement type thing to make your dudes look a bit more active.
You will need to make your panels less static as well. You can do this by not following the stacked panel layout and by varying your zoom.
Also, you need to add sound effects too to get your punches and stuff to show more impact.
Yay, I get to repeat myself.
The comic is static. There is a void of movement, speed, and action. Which is bad, considering fights are supposed to convey these emotions. Just because you are doing this for 'fun' doesn't mean you need to underacheive.
The fight is slow, the story barely chugs by, and the speech bubbles could be fixed in a matter of seconds (minutes, at most).
And so, I give you, a 2.
This is still oh-so very static. Add some speed lines or something. There is nothing worse then being bored while watching a fight, considering a fight is supposed to convey a sense of action. The lack of depth and emotion in this adds to the bland-level.
Overall, I'm unimpressed. it's nice that you're doing it for fun, but it's insane to purposely underachieve. Unfortunately, there is a comment box and a rating system. So your just going to have to put up with some people leaving you reviews. I'll at least save you some trouble by not rating.

Why don't you want advice?! :( That makes me sad. You should at least listen to some advice. It won't hurt. Honestly, it won't.

Translation: It sucks and I don't want to put forth the effort to make it better.
