In America, one would usually say "I am going". We rarely use "I go" or "I leave". I think the phrases apply subjunctively, like... "I leave to-morrow" or "I go to the gym every Monday." Even though they sound like present tense they indicate future tense (even though they really aren't. Very deceptive parts of speech, being very naughty!)
