After I'd drawn that fourth panel I thought exactly the same thing - that she looks very much like a doll. As Wildcard pointed out, such an allusion is so uncharacteristic of Dom's personality, and for that reason I kinda like it ;) I think that was always Sammi's intent: a protagonist who looks very much the underdog, but who is really anything but. Kinda like Wolverine.

Like smkinoshita I was thinking something along those lines. The juxtaposition between her stature and hardboiled attitude has had me interested from the off.

When she sits like that, she looks like a doll. It's cute and probably helps with detective work by lulling her suspects into complacency.
