DAJB - I said as much to Sammi when we started chapter 4. Dom's about to waltz into a swanky club with a blood-stained dress and a black eye. (A blood-stained dress in a club of vampire-wannabes!) But as Sammi pointed out, in any hardboiled crime novel the disheveled protagonist need only splash their face with water and straighten their tie and they're suddenly fresh as a daisy! Gotta love fiction. (Plus, I figure that club will have minimal lighting, so folk are less likely to notice Dom's brutish appearance.)

I'd suggest using Comic Book Commando, but the art style is so loose and organic I don't think there's a font out there that's appropriate.

Yeah, I'm always in two minds as to whether I should add digital type. I hate it in other comics. I mainly do it because on tiny signs it's tough to write that small, and it's more legible than my handwriting. Guess I should try writing it larger on a separate sheet, then shrinking and dropping it in on the computer. Dom is somewhat fleshy around her stomach, arse and thighs, enough to add some femininity, but otherwise it's all muscle.

I think the only criticism I have for this page is the sign; the fonts stick out like a sore thumb when everything else is loose and natural. Dei is mostly lean muscle, isn't she?
