Weird Beginnings Part Eight
PSComics on Oct. 16, 2007
Gary is Wrigley's roommate. Gary is also the name of Gary's Nintendo Wii, for some reason. If you haven't played the Wii, do it…it's a lot of fun. In fact, a game of Mario Party 8 was going on behind me during most of the time I was drawing this strip!
Okay, if you're digging Weird Adventures in Unemployment, it's time to start spreading the word! Next week, I'll have some desktop images, avatars, and banners to put on your site (if you would be so kind). Let Wrigley ring!

This is, overall, possibly the best or second best set of eight consecutive comic strips I have ever seen in my life. Definitely within the top three. The story is brilliant and the art complements it nicely. Let me also point out that I keep up with over 50 webcomics. You're on to something. Keep it up.

I hate puns. But this was goddamned funny.

I can't help it! It's what I do. Seriously, engage me in conversation for 10 minutes and I will either combine two words that have no business coexisting or drop a ridiculous pun. Gary is lucky enough to have acquired this aspect of my personality. b

Terrible puns B, just terrible. :)

Thanks, Scott and Trevor! Regarding the Wii thing...I realized when I finished this page that it seems like I'm heading in a cliched direction (two roommates, a couch, gameplaying, snarky comments) but that's not the case. I just wanted to introduce that aspect of Gary's character. They only have a Wii, though, so get used to it! b

Love the Wii controller - it's going to take some getting used to to start seeing those in comics. I'm just so used to the PS2 or xbox controllers.... Looks great, though.
