And our friends are leaving as fast and with as much as they can.
This page has panels I hate and panels I love. I am still experimenting with black on black (curse Diomedes' penchant for dressing in nearly all black!) and of course weapons are my bane. But much less, I think, than when I was making Wolf. :P
This week I will try to have some extra info about where they are right now (they are near the centre of Athens) and where they are going (towards a suburb called Patissia), so that you have a feel of the distances and the areas. Also, I will have those pics I'd promised you, and HOPEFULLY the brief history bit!
Yeah, I know most of you won't look it up now, but you'll thank me later. And I'm a history nut anyway. :)
Hope you enjoy this page.
Diomedes seems to have gotten the wrong message, doesn't he? XD
I'm wondering how Basil would have fired a rifle one-handed. It may not have been Basil's intention but maybe Diomedes is, umm ... "better equipped" for rifle-firing duty anyway!
Lance Danger: Yay! Welcome back! I hope you like what you see ;)
Mondenkind: Thank you! I have had years upon years of grappling with the human form. :3
usedbooks: You like self deprecation, don't you? :P
Lol. I mean they are harmless to *carry around.*
Although not really. I mean, if you trip and fall on it the wrong way... Still safer than running with scissors. XD
Used Books: You think bayonettes are harmless? *dangerous gleam* The Greek army that fought against the Italians (the battles Basil was in) had several problems in supply lines(there was intentional sabotage and treason involved, but that is a long story) of already limited supplies, and so greek footmen/ soldiers fought more with their bayonettes than actually firing bullets, especially in night battles.
The Italians soon would say that the sound of the greek bayonette slipping into place on the rifle in the dead of the night as the Greeks would attack silently (or amidst the storms) was "the sound of Death".
Simple harmless bayonettes. :P
Nicotine: Yeah, he does :( He lost his arm in the war. But he doesn't let that hold him back from continuing, does he?
There is more character and comic background info to be had in the buttons that are live just yet. ;)
I always get uncomfortable holding a weapon. Heh. I don't even like moving bayonets around at work, and they are relatively harmless (not sharp or especially heavy, can't "misfire" ).
I would suck in a crisis. Lol. But honestly, I'm far more likely to injure myself than anyone else if I was armed.
Oh, and I know how you feel about panels. I rarely draw a page where I like all the panels. :P If I have one I love on a page, that's pretty good.

There's so many WW2 movies I could quote right now that my head has overloaded and is now needing to cool down. Good job, great page :)

DAJB:Where there's a will there's a way ;) But primarily Basil just wanted to get that rifle. You'll see why soon ;)
