The line ‘I hail you Freedom’ is a line from the verses of the Greek National Anthem. You have probably heard it once or twice in the Olympic Games- it's a war song of adulation to Liberty, which should come as no surprise. I used the word ‘freedom’ rather than ‘liberty’ because it's a more concrete concept and in Greek he'd use an abbreviated version of the word.
I found a youtube clip of it with the lyrics, and I've posted it at the forum :)
have you ever heard the term 'Aluta continua, Vitoria E'certa' It's a portugese protest slogan which originated from Portugese protest slogan that over time became adopted by the LGBTQ+ community. It roughly translated to 'the struggle continues but victory is certain' ^^
Yup - it's just as insane with sound!
It's being described here as Team America meets Inglorious Basterds (but not as funny or as well-made!)
There's another (very similar) trailer here.
DAJB: I watched that on mute and it looks absolutely insane! I'll see when I play it with sound if it's still insane XD
Usedbooks: well in Europe there have been several occasions where children had to be shielded from scenes like this (does it show that Fotis wants nobody else to see Tasos get shot in the head?), but I think anywhere where there's strife things like this can happen. Who knows what children saw when the US had its own wars on its soil? And even in some areas like ghettos and the like, there may be still such scenes playing out. Just not over ethnic issues. :(
I'm glad not to live somewhere where we have to shield children (or, um, me)from witnessing horrible things like this first hand.
I just have to avoid watching the news or searching the wrong words in Google image. (Although, at least the news is censored -- and Google can be too. Not so lucky with life.)
