Here we go! Another page, late but I think that last panel explains why pretty well.

This ancient monument is called ‘Tower of the Winds’ and it is in Plaka. Here's the wiki

Nazi blocks where people were mowed down by the tens or by the hundreds were frequent during the Occupation, in the Nazi's effort to quench resistance, boost terrorist and weed out people against their rule.

More about that in the next page as the scene unfolds.

On another note, I am thinking of changing the update day to Wednesday. Thoughts on that?

bravo 1102: Yes, that's very true, and a good part of how things worked here. Nazis made the mistake of drowning the first effort to throw them off in blood of women and kids, men aside. That was never forgotten nor bypassed.

Shooting everybody cows a population but also builds a very determined resistance. You'll run out of people to shoot except for the ones who are shooting at you and have nothing left to lose.
