So, the trial begins!

These affairs followed the standard courtmartial and/or civil court format of Greek courts, depending on the infraction being under scrutiny. For brevity purposes I have truncated and shortened the protocol some, or we’d be here literally all day.

Brutal rebuke from his own Mother. I admit it...maybe I shouldn't but I feel some sympathy for this traitor.

It's only natural. I remember that when I first saw the death photos of the nazis executed at Nuremberg, I felt sorrow for them. But then the exact next photo was of their victims in piles, and it evened out. I wasn't happy for their deaths, though, still, but I didn't feel the sympathy anymore. For this traitor too, we only see his plight, not what he did right in front of us :) Of course there's sympathy.
