Stars on the Water, Page 7

We've been running since October 10th on Comic Fury and DeviantArt, but only now - the early morning hours of July 24th - are things going up on Drunk Duck. I'll be including both my comments and those of the artist, Adam Cowie, and I'll be updating this in the future alongside those other two sources. I hope everyone enjoys. I will upload Wright as Rayne through the night and the sister story, The Black Princess, will come in the next couple of days.
Martin's Comments
Not a lot to say on this one. Like I said, these fight scenes are kind of hard to talk about. The Gaspeed lightning eyes thing was kind of a last minute “Hey, that'd look cool” bit, but I think it works out well. Gives him something to stand out a bit more.
Adam's Comments
Ughhh…. This is the bottom of the barrel for artwork. After this page, the art starts to improve and curve upward in quality, but I think this is easily the worst page so far. It's weird, since it includes exclusively the two characters I love to draw the most. But it's just such a nightmare, art-wise. I especially hate how in panels 3 and 4, the sidewalk rises vertically into the air behind Gaspeed like a wall. It makes me wanna cry.Add into that the way of the two of them fight and move like overweight, retired boxers and you've got a bad, bad page.Thank God they get better after this. Also, I liked Martin's idea of making Gaspeed's eyes go white and get those little lightning bolts when he uses electricty. That looks cool.
