Geisthaven: Dingo Kessler

Damon “Dingo” Kessler is a Lone Wolf.
This is a bad thing.

Werewolves are a very social species. The Pack is the keystone of their very society. Without other werewolves with whom to associate, it is said that one will go feral.
The Lone Wolf, be he a wolf who simply doesn't have a pack, or one who has been cast out, is seen as sort of a pariah.

Dingo is the child of Bonnie Kessler, a single parent, and worse (in terms of Lycanthrope social structure), a human, trying to raise a Lone werewolf child on her own.
Dingo's father was killed when he was a young boy. He isn't well versed on werewolf society and tradition.
He is not on friendly terms with The Howard brothers and their pack, so he avoids them, even though he has a serious crush on Rona Talbot… One that she, for the most part, reciprocates, but the two can't seem to get close.
It probably stems from Rona's own Lone Wolf status before moving to Geisthaven.
Their unspoken mutual attraction often brings Dingo into conflict with Ollie Howard, who also has a secret crush on Rona. Both ‘Alpha Males’, the two boys, it seems, will never get along.

Dingo's uncle, Matthew was cast out of the family at a young age, and holed up in the woods, shunning society. He went mad, and began killing animals. Once, on a full moon, he loped down from the mountains and began attacking people. His own brother, Dingo's father, Jack, had to kill his own brother to stop him.

Not a bad kid, but scarred, Dingo just wants to be left alone. He still tries to live a normal daytime life with school and a part time job washing dishes at a local diner, but, like any kid from a ‘mixed marriage’, he wonders about his own identity and place in the world, constantly.
