one of the ways ive found to break out of a style is to combine a couple. if you have the basic construction of a human figure down, learning how another artist teaches that same construction helps to flex your drawing "muscle."

Have you ever read 'How to Draw Manga' by Katy Cope? This looks kinda similar to that style.
