I am making a comment that is completely irrelevant to everything! However, it comes with a side-order of 5. How can you resist?

Grimlock at 4:53PM, June 19, 2007

Grimlock surprised!

ZeroVX at 3:37PM, June 19, 2007

What SkyDog said.

SkyDog at 12:46PM, June 19, 2007

to all below, who cares! the comic is amazing, the artist significantly accomplished, the story arcs interesting. Who cares.

Cthonic Cultist: Fair enough. Well you may be getting a lot of knee jerk flack from fans at the moment, but at least you know people read your posts now right?

I did not mean to mock you, or actually imply that it is really based off of anything but the author's own ideas. I merely was trying to point out where others may have gotten the idea from. Of course you can find things similar between any two works! For example, Charby is a vampire, a rather common story creature. Many other works have vampires in them, but they are usually quite diffrent. I apologize for having offended you Amelius, and I was not saying you are a liar either. The people who do not believe the AUTHOR about what she is writing have no real grasp of logic. I was trying to be logical, and apparently mis-wrote my intended point. Again, I apologize.

Evil Emperor Nick at 8:03AM, June 19, 2007

Cthonic Cultist: Alright I'll admit I'm bias here myself but I think you sticking your fingers in you ears and insisting you are right. Of course you think you made good points, we all think we make good points. If you stretch you can find connetions of almost any two works. I'm willing to bet I could make more connections to say "Star Trek" then you can to JTHM. That doesn't really mean anything though. Are you a fan of the theater by chance? Have you ever seen the play Titus Andronicus? Titus is Shakespeare's most bloody violent play. A story of violent revenge, bloody killings, violent madness. The characters kill for sometimes very little reason, they are deeply psycological at times, and at the time it was enjoyed by a certain breed of people in london. Despite this CTV is not very much like Titus. You are bringing up very vague and general similarities and them simply defending them as good points despite what anyone else might say, think or point out. There are very few, if any one to one compairisons you can draw between JTHM & Charby. For example Deep Space 9 and Babylon 5 have a lot of one to one compairisons. They are both scifi shows about a space station which are centers of diplomacy that get drawn into large wars with captains that become spiritual leaders etc. etc. etc. I could go of for a while but I think you get the point. Heck even some of the character share the same names. No if you were to compair say Battle Star Galactica and Star Wars, well I think you would find a lot less one to ones. Of sure you could still say they are scifi series which have some flavor in common the two are not really directly related. Likewise there is a lot of a direct similarities you can connect between the two. They have vague flavorful connections at best (and I think most charby fans wouldn't apreciate being lumped into the same culty people as JTHM) but very little direct relations other then the accidental similarity between Johnny's hair. The worlds are vastly different, johnny is a rundown wastland version of the modern world. Charby's world is much more positive on the 'real' world with magic and fantasy interlaced into it. Johnny was spastic and random disjointed where as charby is slow moving and subtle. Again I could go and on. It might be fair to say they are in related genre's but I and lots of other readers feel it is unfair to lump the two comics together when they are really quite different. Amelius: Arg. Stop being mean to Azalea. Calling her a grandmother uhg! Seriously though what happened to the lower half of her wings in panel 6?

Raziel_X007223 at 6:46AM, June 19, 2007

My my, Charby, Stay.....STAY DAMN YOU!!!!! Ame, don't be so har don yourself... I like the comic and been a fan from the very beginning (Though I started to comment halfway in....) Also Ame, if this will cheer you up, I have a webcomics in the works... My artist is getting ready and the first page should be ready next week... Hope to see you... The Webcomic Ramen Girls is only Weeks away...

Jakob at 1:00AM, June 19, 2007

Eight panel= gold

Deraymou at 8:51PM, June 18, 2007

No need to apologize to me for anything, Ames. First of all, I'm already aware that you'll feel bad for anyone you may think you upset (you adorably compassionate citter, you!). *rolls a baseball bat in rubber cement adn broken glass* You can use this next time someone upsets you. Yes kids... Violence IS the answer!

Jimeth at 2:03PM, June 18, 2007

Amy replied to them all last page. That was seriously impressive.

Cthonic Cultist at 1:34PM, June 18, 2007

Well now, I did not mean to imply that. I had said on previous occasions that it would be very hard to read in depth all of the comments posted, because she has so many. And I do think I brought up some good points, regardless of whether you think they were good.

Diamond Man at 1:22PM, June 18, 2007

*snicker*

Azaeziel at 8:33AM, June 18, 2007

Heheh... Excellent paniced expression. I love the way you do your eyes.

TheDeathBunnie at 7:46AM, June 18, 2007

Girl, you know we all love ya and your awesome work. ^_^ Like I said on dA and like many others have said, don't stress it. But y'know, out of everything that's been said, I found Cthonic Cultist's comment the most insulting of all: "Hope you read this, but it seems unlikely." Cthonic Cultist, if you happen to read this, please know that Amelius has built a loyal cult of readers because she's kind, open, honest and down-to-earth enough to interact with her fans on a friendly level. Honestly, I can't believe you would even insinuate that she doesn't read the comments from her readers. Amy, we love ya babe. Great work - and holy crap, Charby's expression in that next-to-last panel is pure comedy. O_O *pof*

ecchi_kitty at 6:31AM, June 18, 2007

Somethign to be said for 'too much of a good thing'. Or maybe he recognizes the speech, if not at first the person.

JackTheNippler at 2:56AM, June 18, 2007

YUMMY! That is all...

TheTim at 10:03PM, June 17, 2007

Hmm, I might have thought Charby would react a little different at first. I mean, she seems to have a lot of what he's been looking for in women (like breasts!). I guess it might be a little different at a party like this, and he's not the aggressor. As for a guest appearance, I think keeping it black and white would have been a really nice touch. Of course, it's up to the artist(s). Such language today! I'm finding it hard to believe this is your comic! Two expletives?! I hope you enjoy/enjoyed your convention!

DragonZero at 9:53PM, June 17, 2007

Will that old Ninja be back, too?

many_personalities37 at 4:59PM, June 17, 2007

aw, i love Charbys facials in this strip! well done

Amelius at 4:22PM, June 17, 2007

Deraymou and Cthonic Cultist: My apologies, I was a bit rushed with that,(I'm using someone else's computer and I felt rude) I didn't intend that to come off as me thinking playing devil's advocate was rude (I have no problem with anyone presenting the other side) I was just a little put off that it was brought up on this page, after I said I wanted to put this behind me once and for all. And I feel it's unnecessary to point it out to me...I have read all of his works at this point, even Bad Art Collection! I'm not completley ignorant to what JV is all about or what he does. This is why I know full well enough what could have been inspired by it or not, and the early stuff that gets put under this scrutiny (which are pretty much reproductions of the originals, with very few changes) are what gets the comparison, and they predate my knowledge. I'm not denying that there's no way in heck that a few similarities could be found, I beat that into the ground already! It's the insinuation that I don't know what I'm talking about, or I'm lying about it, that is bothering me. Whether or not similarities are found is a moot point; it's that people don't trust me enough to believe me when I tell them my side that is getting me riled up. Pointing out similarities (and by those examples, questionable similarity I'm sorry to say) does little but to hurt me more, it's proves you still don't believe me and refuse to take my word. I guess that is just my loss then, no matter what I say or how much proof I have, I'm still a liar to someone. That, is truly what is the matter with me on this issue. I really, really hope this is the last time I have to discuss this, honestly.

Celest Lunara at 4:01PM, June 17, 2007

lol very nice. That girl just wont go away will she...reminds me of my brother...

Wic at 3:23PM, June 17, 2007

Well, at least he doesn't hate her for her looks only.

Warlord at 3:07PM, June 17, 2007

i love the eyes Charby has in the 8th pannle
