It's not as complicated as the other comments might suggest. You just need more surface textures to pull your compositions together. The smooth balcks and featureless grays will kill you in this sort of set up. Get specific with all your surfaces and you can make it eye candy.

I like this comic, and I don't weant really easily-fixed technical problems to weigh it down so badly.

Lack of picture quality and high quality rendering detracts from any other interesting traits this comic may have.
