I am seeking an artist that is able to detail scenes, draw previous Death Note characters and scenery, including Shinigami, cars, weapons, buildings, outside areas, people, covers to comic book volumes, and more. Yes, you will be given credit. (DUH!) The Death Note and that such from the original series. The plot goes like this: After 20 without Kira's judjement, a new Kira surfaces and plans to finish off where Kira started. The Japanese Task force has been dimished and the SPK has been killed off by Kira worishippers, all except for Near, now a middle aged man.
I will send the pages with dialoge already inserted in the panels, and a description of the scene where the characters are, and if they are carrying anything. Ex: Character 1 and 2 are in a car in panel 1 and get out in panel 2. In panel 3 they pull out hand guns and enter a large bank. In panel four they fire their guns every which way killing over three dozen people.

Sorry, unless I get permission from the author, I can't sell it. But i'll probably put it up for free on lulu. As for the paid work, there's a chance. Depending on how much you demand for pay.

Oh, and it has to be in black in white, except for the volume cover. And the comic pages have to be inked…

I checked out Lulu.com, it's a pretty cool site. =P Too bad you can't receive PQs. We can either discuss the comic here or via e-mail if you want. My email address is elizabeth0829@gmail.com

It is legal to sell at anime conventions, since it is a doujin (fan comic. =P It would be allowed to be sold only in the Artist Alley of conventions, as long as it's listed as a fancomic.
How many pages do you estimate the volume to be?

Let me know what you think,
Liz

Ok.

How many pages do you estimate the volume to be? I really don't know, and I don't know how many volumes it's going to be. It could be one volume with 150 pages or up 20 volumes. I really doubt it would be 20 volumes though. I haven't finished it yet, I'm still on chapter one right now. I just started it last night.
Let me know what you think,
Liz

Already did that. And it looks like you've got the job.

Ok, so I could probably make about one page a week. I might start off a little slower than that, but I'll pick up the pace once I get a hang of it (eventually 2 pages a week).
I can't wait to read the first chapter. =P

Selling fanart would in no way impede on any sales of the original creator. If anything, it is actually promoting the original creator's work. Copying and signing work passing off as the original is an offence in law.
