If you're not familiar with this alternative rock band from the mid-eighties, you should check them out. Highly melodic, smooth, punk-inspired songs with a degree of musicality I just can't seem to find in the most contemporary music.
The best news? After having been broken up for over 11 years, The Pixies are currently recording a new album. I tremble in anticipation.
