Who Would Play Verity?

So, it's probably no secret that Verity is my favorite character. Girl with attitude, forging her own identity in the West–what's not to love? So if you were picking an actress to play Verity, who would you choose?

After a couple of people give their suggestions, I might mention who I based her on.

Ohh boy, im gonna get smaked for this…but physicly I think Linsday Lohan would'nt be a bad choice. But she's a crack addict that cant perform to well under pressure.
But her appearence would fit pretty well, she's redheaded, with freakles and all. ANd she can show a fair amount of attitude.
I can also picture Kate Beckinsale for some reason, though she's not redhead.

I'm always a fan of Jewel Staite, though she'd have to go quite a bit redder. ;)

Ha! Smack. ;) She's a little younger than I think of for Verity, but yeah, if the little girl who played the twins in Parent Trap had grown up into a young woman who was responsible and mature rather than running amok, I might agree with you.
She's also cute in the new Herbie movie (which feels very much in the same vein as the ones filmed in the 50s). But that whole actress-gone-wild thing gives me a thumbs-down kind of feeling.

Aw, you know actresses–doesn't matter what their hair is naturally, it's all about hair artists!

I think it needs someone with a slightly heavier physique. These would be my nominations (pass the gold envelope please …!)
Runners up:
Catherine Zeta Jones - although known mostly for being the eye-candy in some pretty lightweight films (and for marrying men old enough to be her grandfather!), she rarely disgraces herself on-screen and in Traffic, at least, showed she does actually have some real acting ability too.
Rachel Weiss - again, not especially known for serious roles but can act and, in Constantine, showed she can lose her prim English accent when she has to!
First choice:
Joan Cusack - maybe more associated with comedy but I think she has real range and a quirkiness that means you never know quite she's going to do next.

A WW2 fighter pilot, a First Century warrior queen and a prehistoric shaman. Oh, and their tailor. These are not your common-or-garden heroes!

Catherine Zeta JonesI've always been a fan of hers, but I think she's a little too old now to play Verity. She's a mommy, after all!Rachel Weiss
I liked her in the Mummy! :)Joan Cusack
Oh, I like Joan Cusak, too. But since Verity's supposed to be in her early-to-mid 20s, I think she's out of range as well.

While she's not in her 20s anymore, I think a little makeup and a red dye job would make Lori Petty a perfect Verity.
Then, later on in the movie, she can put a brain in an alien tank and be TANK GIRL!
No, wait. That's a bad idea. Don't use that. But Lori Petty–definitely.

I actually think I like Rachel Weiss as Verity. I think she would fit the role really well, actually. Good suggestion!

I actually based Verity on Laura Prepon from that 70's show and currently on thenew ABC show October Road, I wanted a strong, curvy, yet attractive female to fit the character and that's who sprang to mind. . . secret out.
