This thread is for anyone who wants to suggest a “team” name for the group. Have fun with it, it's non-binding. OTOH, if we REALLY like it…we'll see. (If it's used, we'll give you credit for it, of course.)

Al Schroeder of MINDMISTRESS http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com—think the superhero genre is mined out?

Think there are no new superhero ideas?

Okay, here I dive head-first into the deep end. It's going to be really bad.

Since you had created the idea of the “Crisis Corps”, why not adapt it to “Crossover Corps”?

Or, in the vein of “Sliders”, the “Crossers”?

How about “The Multi-Dimensionals”, or “The Knights of Beyond”?

That's all I got, for now.
Sincerely, Kevin Lee

I rather like “Crossover Corps” and “Multidimensionals”, actually….not bad.
(It's too bad Infinity Inc. and the Outsiders have been used…they would be really good names, too.)

The name “Overcross” comes to mind since as ringo has shown the group is far more than the 5 main characters making it more an organization than a small team, so a name that implies a unified whole rather than a plural name implying a collection of individuals. That and the name is pretty obviously an inversion of the villain's title minus the “lord” part. Simple but it's a shot in the dark that might hit.

Now speaking of shots, here's some shotgun theory for you.
Interteam
Heroes Inc.
Facets
Multiforce
Masters of the Multiverse
The Fellowship of Remarkable Individuals
Quantum Variable

And I'm done.

Pentacross
Four Heroes and a Corpse
Ringo's Angels (Just think of Lightbringer as Bosley)
Ringo's Stars
Heroes Unite: Interdimensional
The Super Avenging League of Extraordinary Friends

I liked ‘Ringoliers’ suggested by Xade though, for me it has an association with ‘chevaliers’

Hey there, you have no clue who I am of course. I want to take this oportunity to say that I enjoy the Crossover Lord as well as all the various titles the charecters come from. In fact I read all of them….except Mind Mistress and Dasien but that's due to time consteignts in my life. I do hope to have time to read them soon…anyway team names.

Omniforce (Omni meaning ‘all’ representing that they're from all dimensions)

Exemplars (Meaning ‘best possible’. Since they were chosen to guard the storehouse of superweapons, they're the special of the special. Exemplar also usualy has a highly positive cognotation.)

The Chosen (Not too creative I know.)

The Awesome Force (I can see two distinct individuals who would sugest that. Interpret it as you will.)

Heroes 1 (“Cause we're the number one heroes!”)

All interesting suggestions, Zolem! And “The Awesome Force” DOES sound like something two of them would say. —Al

Hey! I never even realized CrossoverLord HAD a forum. Neat!

I've been mulling a few ideas over:

- The “Parallels” (Everyone is parallel to SOMEONE)
- The Realinauts
- The Comicnauts
- The Multiversiteam
- The Omnimen
- “Boarder Patrol” (referring to the boarders between universes)
- Defenders of the Realms.
- The Last Bastion.
- The Wavefunctions
- The lemniscate Society
- Tegmark's Six.

I really like “The Multiversiteam”, especially since DC and Grant Morrison are going to do a comic called the “Multiversity” next year…

I like a lot of the others, too.

As usual, I'll add these various suggestions to the webcomicsnation blurb at the top of the page…thanks, Red!

And anyone else wanting to suggest a name…by all means do!—Al

- The Realinauts
- The Comicnauts
I like this theme. Perhaps we could call them the Gordianauts. (Bad pun gets tomatoes thrown at Neil.)

No,no… wait… The AGGRENAUTS! (brief pause while Neil applies for a trademark) See, it starts with the word “aggregate”, which means the sum total of everything (i.e., the universe or multiverse), and combines it with just a touch of Greek mythology, the Agronauts, who were the heroes who sought the golden fleece.

My favorite was “the Leminiscate Society” myself. If you guys aren't going to use it, I totally will.

I got a couple more:

-The Continuity Brigade
-The Continuiteam

One of the ones already suggested was the Realiteam, which is similar…I think you can probably use the “Leminiscate Society”, which is a neat name, but one we'd have to explain every time it's used.
