Here is a little bonus sneak peek at a character who has yet to appear, and a race that has not been seen before.
No colour on this one, it is just a line drawing, but I think it should be of interest.
So allow me to show you first image of the people of Fire and Technology, the Golta.
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce -
The Gunsmith.

Yay guns! Are there assault rifles, or something of the sort? Magic assault rifles, that fire various elemental rounds! Fire= explosion on contact, ice= duh, etc., or lasers! Are those lasers? I hope they're lasers!

Those are Flintlock weapons, so one shot lots of smoke type, loaded down the barrel. The Golta use a highly refined form of pyronite, which burns with green smoke (normally pyronite burns with orange smoke). Only Golta are capable of producing and maintaining this substance using their secretive magical techniques.
Considering everyone else has bows and arrows, having a gun is rather an advantage!

Flintlocks, eh? Well, I hope they refined the loading speed on the, because you can fire 10 arrows in the time it takes to shoot and reload a flintlock. That assumes that both are skilled at shooting and loading their respective weapons.

Awww… no laserguns?

Yes but her weapons have massively more killing power, can punch through armour, in the case of the long barrels gun can be fired directly at greater range (compared to arrows that have to be fired up in the air to rain down on people at any great distance).
They also make an intimidating amount of noise and smoke to scare the crap out of enemies.
Also, just imagine how easy it is to win a sword fight when you have two loaded pistols that you can fire at point blank range.
Like Sean Connery once advised, don't bring a knife to a gun fight!
And I haven't even talked about Golta-Fire yet…

She is a badger, right? Or perhaps a skunk, though it's hard to tell without colours.

Skunks look cool but the potential to shoot smelly stuff out of their bottoms would make the entire species impossible to take seriously!
Badgers on the other hand….are awesome!
