This is probably painfully obvious, but I'm not exactly what you'd call a free-market conservative. In fact, I despise unregulated, trickle-down economic systems, and in a country where real wages haven't grown in 30 years (and have been “supplemented” by increasingly easy access to credit cards, which is kind of like the opposite of “growth” in wages), and the rich are getting richer not by producing anything of value but by fucking around with the stock market, and where the most meager of attempts to improve things for the many (rather than the few) is met with such a hurricane of hostility by people who don't understand they're being manipulated to act against their own best interests…

Well, let's say it's tough to look on the bright side sometimes.

The comic strip helps, because it lets me blow things out of proportion and deal with them in that ridiculous way.
