It's been an interesting journey describing ‘Shake The Lake’. While it's quite obviously a teenage comedy, relationship drama, it's inspired by the 90's action sports comedy movies: Grind, Out Cold, Blue Crush, Lord's of Dogtown (yeah that's 2000's).

While the story revolves around the sport of wakeboarding that's just the tentpole set piece to play around with coming-of-age characters and how they navigate facing responsibility, young love, friendship… and hardnosed park rangers while still being free and fun.
